Senior Wilbur O’Neal, a standout on the UIndy men’s basketball team, will enjoy a jaunt through Europe next month courtesy of Global Sports Academy.
A criminal justice major from Woodbridge, Va., O’Neal was selected for a 10-member team that will play local squads in Holland, Belgium and England during the Aug. 10-17 tour. His teammates will include players from Virginia Commonwealth, Purdue and Kent State.
This past season with the Greyhounds, O’Neal led the Great Lakes Valley Conference and ranked fifth in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage (.674), the second-highest single-season percentage in UIndy history.
