Experts to discuss 9/11 impact Thursday

A panel of local academic experts will discuss the lingering effects of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks Thursday at the University of Indianapolis.

Sponsored by UIndy’s Institute for the Study of War and Diplomacy, “The Global Impact of 9/11: A Panel Discussion” is scheduled from 8 to 10 p.m. in Good Hall, Room 105 (Recital Hall).

The panelists are:

  • Milind Thakar, Ph.D., associate professor of international relations at UIndy. His academic specialties include political development and democratization, as well as South Asian politics and security.
  • Douglas Woodwell, Ph.D., associate professor of international relations at UIndy. His specialties include terrorism and international conflict.
  • John McCormick, Ph.D., professor of political science at IUPUI. His specialties include comparative politics and transatlantic relations.

Admission is free. Good Hall is located at the southeast corner of Hanna and Otterbein avenues.
