UIndy alumna Courtney Poulos has been hired as the first director of international economic development for Indianapolis Economic Development Inc.
Poulos graduated from UIndy’s Athens Campus in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She later graduated from the University of Kent-Brussels School of International Studies in Belgium and worked as a project manager for the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
In her new role, Poulos will help the city attract new businesses from around the world and build relationships with local companies doing business internationally. Europe will be an initial focus, but Poulos also will oversee development efforts in Asia and South America, according to an IEDI announcement.
